Ålesund - Godøy - Alnes - Ålesund
At Alnes you can enjoy the magnificent sea landscape which is as beautiful on a sunny summer day as in the winter storm.
This trip takes goes by high-speed ferry and bus, allowing you to experience the seascape as well as the landscape on your way to Alnes.
You may visit Alnes lighthouse, which is still in operation. The tower features a permanent exhibition of watercolor works and sketches by the famous local artist Ørnulf Opdahl.
In the summer period you may visit the original lighthouse keeper’s house. Here you will find an exhibition about the history of the lighthouse, a summer café, and temporary art exhibitions.
The new Alnes Cultural Center features a café that is open all year round where you can buy homemade cakes and traditional food from the area. There is also an art gallery. In the café there is a permanent exhibition made by the Norwegian Coastal Administration illustrating the current activity at Alnes Lighthouse. See www.alnesfyr.no for opening times and information.
Departure from: Ålesund high-speed ferry terminal, Skateflukaia (close to the Tourist Information office)
You can choose any departure time and return time.
In the periods 1st June-6th July and from 23rd July to 31st August, some of the trips go by high-speed ferry all the way from Ålesund to Alnes Lighthouse (Alnes Harbour) and from Alnes to Ålesund. See the time table to find out which departures are by boat only and which departures combine boat and bus.
From 7th July to 22nd July, the trips will be by bus only.
About our trips
All our trips take place with public transport. On most trips you must change between different means of transport during the trip.
Trips are not available for booking on public holidays and during holiday periods such as Easter and Christmas. The timetable shown is valid for the periods when the trip is bookable.
